West Midlands Orienteering Association
Welcome to the web site of the Potteries Orienteering Club (POTOC), for orienteers in or near North Staffordshire in England. This site gives details of orienteering events which we are organising, and results of past events. There are also pages explaining what the club offers and describing the areas where our events take place.
Orienteering is an outdoor sport which involves running (or walking) from point to point using a map to choose the fastest route and a compass to help with the navigation.
The areas for which POTOC has orienteering maps include Apedale Country Park, Barnswood Scout Camp, Bathpool Country Park, Biddulph Grange Country Park, Birchenwood and Clanway, Brereton Heath, Brough Park and Fields, Chatterley Whitfield Country Park, Downs Banks, Festival Park, Hanley Forest Park, Kibblestone Scout Camp, Ladderedge Country Park, Leycett, Maer Hills, Milldale Scout Camp, Park Hall Country Park, Springpool Wood and Barker's Rough, Stone Common Plot, Swynnerton Old Park, The Roaches, Tittensor Chase, Trentham Park and Gardens, and Weston Heath and Bury Walls.
