From Town Road in Hanley take the B5049 (Chell Street) towards Smallthorne. After about 800 m turn left into the car park.

From junction 16 on the M6, follow the A500 west for 10 km to the roundabout at the Nantwich end of the dual carriageway. Take the third exit and continue along the A500 for 4 km to the third roundabout (junction of the A51 and B5074). Take the second exit, and follow the A51 towards Chester for 800 m, past the southern entrance to the College. At the first crossroads turn right into Wettenhall Road, then after 400 m turn right at a sharp left bend into the College west entrance. Follow ‘O’ signs to the car park.

At the Dimsdale roundabout (where the B5369 meets the A34) 2·5 km north of Newcastle-under-Lyme, turn West along Wolstanton Road following signs to Apedale Country Park. At the next roundabout, take the second exit into Loomer Road and follow the road into the Country Park. Park in the car park on the right just before the Heritage Centre.
