Organiser’s Comments

Our second event at Barnswood and this time the weather was very dull and cool compared with the sunshine of last year. With not so many Scout Groups this time the organisation was easier with fewer helpers needed. Many thanks to those helpers – Katy, Brenda and Alison on registration, John and Ralph on parking, Henry and Jon on start, Dave on download and Geoff who helped collect in controls.

We had to recycle a few maps and control descriptions for the hard courses so if you would like your map returned please contact me.

We nearly gained a dibber at the event with Geoff absent mindedly handing in his own at download! More about this will be heard at the next Club Social I’m sure!

Finally many thanks again to Dawn Hill (camp site warden) and Cheshire Scouts for allowing us to run on their camp site.

Our next events are at Stone Common Plot on Thursday 24th June and then a Score event at Brough Park, Leek on Sunday 11th July.
